A phone utilized by Adolf Hitler throughout World Struggle Two has been offered for $243,000 (£195,744) at a US public sale.

The id of the client, who bid by telephone, has not been revealed. The bidding in Chesapeake Metropolis, Maryland, began at $100,000.

The crimson telephone, which has the Nazi chief’s identify engraved on it, was present in his Berlin bunker in 1945.
