Police focused various houses and properties in the course of the raids

German police have carried out anti-terrorism raids in 4 states, focusing on suspected members and supporters of so-called Islamic State.

Houses and properties had been searched in Bavaria, Berlin, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt in the course of the pre-dawn operation, federal prosecutors say.

Police had been in search of three suspects – two of them are believed to be IS members and the third a supporter of the jihadist group.

No arrests have been made.

After struggling a collection of lethal assaults final yr, Germany has been in worry of additional violence.

On Tuesday, the authorities made an arrest linked to an alleged plot to murder a senior public figure.
