Preet Bharara was initially requested, after the election, to stay in his submit

A New York federal prosecutor who refused to resign when he and 45 different prosecutors have been requested to by the Trump administration says he has been sacked.

“I didn’t resign. Moments in the past I used to be fired,” mentioned Preet Bharara on Twitter.

Mr Bharara was first requested to stay in his submit by President Donald Trump, once they met after the election.

However on Friday he was included in an inventory of prosecutors appointed by former President Barack Obama who have been requested by the Justice Division to step down.

Mr Bharara’s tweet continued: “Being the US Legal professional in SDNY (South District New York) will endlessly be the best honor of my skilled life.”
