Cineworld has agreed to purchase US cinema chain Regal in a $three.6bn (£2.7bn) deal that may create the world’s second largest cinema group.
The new cinema giant will operate across 10 countries, and have 9,500 screens throughout the US and Europe.
The deal provides Cineworld entry to North America, which has the biggest field workplace market on this planet.
Cineworld chief government Mooky Greindinger stated: “Regal is a good enterprise”.
He added it could present Cineworld “with the optimum platform on which we are able to proceed our progress technique”.
